The house looks West over gorgeous, tranquil vistas of olive and cypress to the vivid blue Ionian Sea and hence to the island of Paxos and the mountains of the mainland far away. To East, South and North the views are equally stunning.

Cicadas and geckos chirp, birds sing, butterflies flit through lavender, bumblies buzz, water trickles from pool to pool. From sunrise over the hill behind the house to the sun setting into the sea in front, days at The Gecko drift deliciously by. As dusk falls, the house and gardens are softly illuminated. Long, languid evenings follow. It’s a blissful existence.
